On April 6 2011, UNI Europa and Eurociett approved the work programme for the European Sectoral Social Dialogue Committee on Temporary Agency Work for 2011 – 2012.
The programme emphasises the continued commitment of the social partners to the social dialogue to further maximise the contribution of temporary agency work to the labour market.
In addition to monitoring the developments of the European policies and legislation on the labour market, UNI Europa and Eurociett will actively support their members during the implementation phase of the EU Directive on temporary agency work (2088/104/EC) and will closely follow up the work of the expert group on the posting of workers directive (96/71/EC).
UNI Europa and Eurociett will continue to develop the European Observatory on cross border assignments and contracts within the temporary agency work industry in the EU. The exercise of collecting and exchanging information is key to providing a deeper understanding of cross border activities in the sector.
At the end of 2011, UNI Europa and Eurociett will put forward a proposal for a project to study the impact of temporary agency work on labour market transitions, from education to work and from unemployment to work, and to assess, inter alia, the role of the social partners in facilitating these transitions.
